How is ECA different from public schools?
An Unapologetically Biblical, Christian Environment
ECA students are provided with a uniquely biblical environment where they are free to express their faith and encouraged to grow in their walk with Jesus Christ. Every day, students are taught the word of God, whether through bi-weekly chapel services, age-focused Bible classes, or through the practical application of God’s word in all other academic subjects.
Students are encouraged to a higher work ethic and a stronger personal standard of living. Each student is loved as an individual and encouraged to grow in the grace of the gospel.
ECA teachers are evaluated annually by performance, unlike public school teachers, who are evaluated by tenure. Annually, our teachers are given additional training in their proficiency.
Individualized Attention by God-Called Instructors
Every faculty member at ECA senses a God-given call to Christian education. They teach in a Christian School because they love Jesus Christ and desire to invest their lives into the faith of young people. Our teachers consider themselves partners with parents, to compliment your relationship with your child, and to reinforce your efforts to develop your child’s faith for a lifetime.
In addition, ECA has a lower teacher-to-student ratio than typical public schools, so our students are generally given more personalized attention.
How is ECA different from other Christian schools?
We desire to partner with Bible-believing, Christian families; and to make Christian education much more affordable than most alternatives—all while refusing to compromise our commitment to academic excellence. ECA offers a more affordable tuition, typically much lower than other comparable Christian or private schools in New England.
ECA embraces the benefits of technology and its ability to prepare students to be successful in an ever-changing society. Understanding that students know how to use technology, we seek to prepare them to use technology to create solutions and be productive in a digital world.
ECA is presently undergoing a massive restoration effort. We have developed a well-qualified team of leaders and instructors. We are presently enhancing and remodeling much of our facility. We have strengthened and improved our academic curriculum to ensure that our students receive the highest quality education in a well-prepared, spiritual environment.
A Strong, Home-Church
ECA is a ministry of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Newington, CT. Our entire ministry is underwritten generously by the loving church family at Emmanuel. Emmanuel Baptist is a healthy, thriving, Bible-believing church, passionately engaged in gospel ministry throughout this region and around the world. We would love to serve your family through both our church and school.
We presently partner with Christian families from strong churches all over central Connecticut, and we look forward to meeting you soon!

Godly Mentors and Christian Influences
ECA employs a team of godly, degreed professionals who care for, pray for, and love your students. These faculty members lovingly partner with your family, and are available for questions, tutoring, and a host of mentoring opportunities. Their godly influence on your children will be a strong compliment to your own efforts to train them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Our students benefit by interacting with their teachers in relational ways that sharpen confidence, strengthen their faith, and build vital relational skills for their future.
In short, we are here to serve your family in God’s grace!
Opportunities for Sports and the Arts
ECA provides a strong athletic program in partnership with other Christian schools throughout New England. Opportunities for sports include soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, and boy’s and girl’s basketball.
Students also participate in annual fine arts opportunities which include competitions in public speaking, writing, art, drama, photography, academics, and music. Students at every grade level participate in musical instruction, and our secondary students are invited to be a part of Jr. High and Sr. High handbells and choirs. Annually, our student body presents a Christmas Concert and a Spring Concert.
ECA provides unique electives such as leadership class, speech, life skills and technology electives. Each of these serves to sharpen a student’s ability to lead and communicate effectively in today’s competitive society. Our elective offerings are continually being developed and improved.
Accreditation and Memberships
Over forty years of alumni are successful in career fields across the spectrum—from government to technology to health care and business. ECA graduates move into their post-highschool education well-prepared. In addition to this, ECA is a candidate for accreditation with the NEASC, a regionally accredited educational institution. ECA is also a member of the American Association of Christian Schools and the Association of Christian Schools International.
